    Paulding County residents who use U.S. 24 will need to find alternate routes for the next couple weeks, as road construction will close access ramps from U.S. 127 starting Monday, September 26.

    Paulding High School unveils new mentoring program
    The 2022-2023 school year is now underway at Paulding High School, and with a new year comes some new changes. This year Paulding High School is offering a new English elective class called Personal Growth and Positive Mindset. The class came about as an extension of the school district’s 7 Mindsets curriculum, a program that was implemented in the school district a few years ago to help students with self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making.

  • You know what they say about the best laid plans. Well, sometimes Mother Nature isn’t in the mood to cooperate with plans.

    The Paulding County Senior Center car show, scheduled for Sept. 18, was canceled because of rain. “We did have 26 cars and their drivers show up,” said Marsha Yeutter, director of the Center. “But then we had to cancel because of the heavy rain.”

  • Panthers take 13th in sectionals

    OTTAWA – The Division II boys sectional golf tournament took place at Moose Landing Golf Club outside of Ottawa with Napoleon, Van Buren and Liberty Benton claiming the district team berths.

  • Charlene M. Huebner, 1968-2022
    Charlene M. Huebner, 54, of Antwerp, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 26, 2022, in her residence. Charlene was born January 7, 1968, in Defiance, Ohio, daughter of Joseph S. and Anna M. (Dunlap) Huebner.
  • Today is the last day of August. This summer is flying by so fast, it seems. I have tomatoes, pickles, and red beets to be put in jars. I will probably make salsa with the tomatoes that I have picked. The plants are loaded with more. How thankful we can be for this bountiful harvest. We can now enjoy the fruits of our labor.

  • Paulding FFA travels to the Ohio State House
    On Wednesday September 28th, five Paulding FFA officers traveled down to Columbus for the Ohio Legislative Leadership Conference. The officers included Secretary Jamy Hunt, Reporter Caydence Rue, Treasurer Jalyn Klopfenstein, Sentinel Kobe Foor, Student Advisor Brooke Kilgore and their FFA advisor, Mrs. Jen Bradford.
