    ANTWERP – Hayleigh Jewell hit one of two free throws with 8.4 seconds remaining to lift the Antwerp Lady Archers to an upset of visiting Ayersville 50-49 Monday night in Green Meadows Conference girls basketball action.
  • Dennis B. Stoller, age 87 of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at his home in Defiance, surrounded by his family.
  • PAULDING – The Paulding County Mayors Association recently held its 2023 organizational meeting. The group was introduced to Shawn Gerber, the new mayor of Latty. Shawn replaced former Mayor Tom Sinn who recently retired following years of service to the local community.
  • Today is the last day of August. This summer is flying by so fast, it seems. I have tomatoes, pickles, and red beets to be put in jars. I will probably make salsa with the tomatoes that I have picked. The plants are loaded with more. How thankful we can be for this bountiful harvest. We can now enjoy the fruits of our labor.
