EDGERTON – For the second time in nine days, the Antwerp Lady Archers
picked up a victory over Edgerton as the blue and white recorded a
50-30 win over the Bulldogs in Green Meadows Conference action Thursday
night in Williams County.
After defeating Edgerton in the Route 49
Classic on December 28, the blue and white jumped out to a 17-5 lead at
the end of one quarter on Thursday in cruising to the victory to
improve to 6-5 overall and 1-1 in league play.
Edgerton falls to 0-2 in the conference while the Bulldogs are 1-10 in all games.
Hayleigh
Jewell and Aewyn McMichael both scored 14 points to lead the way for
Antwerp, which also got ten markers from Caroline Rohrs.
Other scorers for the blue and white were Emma Townley (eight), Lydia Krouse (two) and Katryna Fish (two).
The Bulldogs were paced by Alivia Farnham with nine points while Casey Everetts and Taylor Smith both chipped in seven markers.
Kennedy Stout also had four points for the Williams County squad while Charlotte Blalock added two and Ava Swank picked up one.
Antwerp
will resume Green Meadows Conference play on Thursday as the Lady
Archers welcome in Fairview. The blue and white then hosts Pettisville
in a non-league battle on Saturday.
Edgerton will welcome in
Paulding on Thursday for a GMC battle before the Bulldogs travel to
Evergreen in non-conference action on Saturday.
