After leading her squad to the Green Meadows Conference championship, Wayne Trace junior Claire Sinn was voted as the conference Player of the Year in voting by the league’s coaches recently.

Sinn averaged 14.4 points per game in the seven conference contests in helping Wayne Trace claim an outright GMC title with a record of 6-1. The junior guard also scored the 1,000th point of her career in the final league game of the season as the Lady Raiders clinched the outright crown with a win over Hicksville.

“She had an outstanding season,” commented Wayne Trace head coach Bethany DeJarnett. “She was our go-to player and she had a great year. Claire is one of those kids that always works on her game and wants to continue to get better.”

Joining Sinn on the first team are Fairview senior Mercedes Wagner, Holgate senior Madilyn Hohenberger, Edgerton junior Ally Cape, Hicksville senior Micah Schroeder and Ayersville senior Ashlee Tressler.

Paulding County put three players on the all-league second team.

Wayne Trace senior Kaylee Shepherd and junior Miriam Sinn garnered second team honors as did Antwerp junior Heather Oberlin. The rest of the second team squad included Tinora senior Sydney Grieser, Holgate senior Bailey Plott and Hicksville senior Katelyn Bergman.

Girls garnering honorable mention were Antwerp junior Karsyn Brumett, Ayersville senior Amanda Addington, Edgerton senior Claire Flegal, Fairview junior Riley Mealer, Hicksville senior Harlee Shuman, Holgate freshman Justine Eis, Tinora junior Aaliyah Hurtt and Wayne Trace senior Sadie Sinn.
