TIFFIN - The Paulding County cross country season came to an end on Saturday at the Division III regional meet in Tiffin.

Wayne Trace junior Kassidy Campbell and Antwerp freshman Aeriel Snyder each wrapped up outstanding seasons but came up short of advancing to the state meet.

Campbell posted a 37th place finish with a time of 20:28.79, missing the trip to the state meet by nine spots.

Snyder completed her season with a time of 21:26.91 as she placed 82nd.

Teams from northwest Ohio that advanced to the girls state meet were Minster, Liberty Center, Columbus Grove, Archbold and Delphos St. John’s.

Coldwater’s Haley Alig, Holgate’s Raena Willett, Ayersville’s Teryn Bour, Crestview’s Ragen Harting, Lincolnview’s Madison Langdon, St. Henry’s Leah Heitkamp and Spencerville’s Lillee Stewart all moved on to the state meet as individuals.

On the boys side, teams advancing to state were Holgate, Minster and Liberty Center. Individually, Noah Fisher (Ayersville), Emanuel Villanueva (Stryker), Treyvon Hastings (Fairview), Brady Yingst (Lima Perry), Isaac Schoen (Coldwater), Clay Carpenter (Tinora), Kyle Roth (Parkway) and Quentin Potempa (Lima Central Catholic) all qualified for state.

Lima Shawnee and Celina’s girls squads picked up spots in the Division II state meet while Van Wert’s Caylee Phillips, Wauseon’s Grace Rhoades, Defiance’s Shay Soukup and Napoleon’s Macee Dilbone qualified as individuals.

Defiance is the lone Division II boys team to qualify for state but will be joined by Wauseon’s Braden Vernot, Bryan’s Joshua Taylor, Lima Shawnee’s Isaiah Johns, Ottawa Glandorf’s Kamron Maag and Wauseon’s Hunter Wasnich.
