OTTAWA – Ottoville, Kalida and Wayne Trace claimed the top three spots at the Division III boys sectional golf tournament hosted by Pike Run Golf Club Thursday with each school advancing to next week’s district tournament.

The Big Green won the sectional with a 320 while the Wildcats took second at 329 and the Raiders finished third with a 342.

Ottoville’s Keaton Schnipke claimed tournament medalist honors with a 75 while teammate Michael Turnwald and Kalida’s Connor Nartker both shot a 77. The Big Green’s Grant Leis chipped in a 78 with Ayersville’s Luke Schroeder and Wayne Trace’s Evan Crosby both carding a 79.

Kyle Sutton added an 83 for the red, white and blue and Tyler Davis posted a round of 88. Conner Davis finished with a 92 to aid the Raider cause and Nyle Stoller totaled a 101.

Miller City placed fourth with a 345 while Leipsic added a 348 and Pandora Gilboa finished sixth at 360. Columbus Grove (369), Patrick Henry (382), Antwerp (385), Fort Jennings (415), McComb (427) and Ayersville (435).

Braylen Moreno led the Archers with an 83 and senior Ross Lee chipped in a 97. Zaine McMichael carded a 100 for Antwerp followed by Draven Baumert (105) and Griffin Kosch (108).

Schroeder was the first individual district qualifier followed by Leipsic’s Brevin Brandt (80) and Miller City’s Will Otto (83). Otto defeated the Archers’ Moreno for the final qualifying spot.
