TROY — Wayne Trace finished fifth at the Troy Wrestling Invitational on Saturday. Junior Gabe Sutton earned a top spot in the 113-pound weight class and sophomore Hunter Long placed first in the 132-pound division. Eli Moore also grabbed a first place spot in the 160-pound weight class by defeating Carlos Quintero of Troy in an 11-8 decision.

Sutton took only :48 to pin Nolan Fox of Troy in the championship round. Long won by a major decision in the final round, 13-5 over David Davis of Miami East.

Jarrett Hornish ended his day in third for the Raiders. A :12 pin of Banks Koffer sent Hornish to the sixth round but he fell in a 10-1 decision.

Junior Jacob Graham took fourth in the 285-pound weight class. He was pinned in the sixth round by Jacob Padilla of Wayne in :30.

Freshman Sam Moore took home fifth place in the 138-pound division. He pinned Riley Himes of Greenville in 4:09 in the seventh round to get on the podium.

Wayne Trace will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Defiance Tinora for a tri-match with the Rams and Hicksville.
