VAN WERT - What a way to send off the seniors.

Paulding rallied past Lincolnview 12-7 in the softball season finale on Wednesday, with the five seniors for the Panthers combining for 12 hits in the comeback victory.

“It was great to send the five seniors out with a win,” Paulding coach Matt Carr said about the final game for Asia Arellano. Haylee Dominique, Ashlynn Rice, Jen Stahl and Mallory Taylor. “They have meant so much to the program the last four years.”

Trailing 5-1 after two, the Panthers used five-run frames in the fifth and sixth to close out the season at 13-7 overall and 6-2 in the Northwest Conference.

“We got down early and battled back which was great to see in this game,” Carr concluded.

Dominique was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with three singles and a double while Rice and Taylor each produced a pair of singles and a double, with Rice also scoring three runs. Arellano and Stahl both added a single in their final game for the Panthers.

Leigha Egnor drove in five runs and scored three with a double and triple for Paulding while Kaela Lucas had three RBIs and scored twice with a home run, walk and sacrifice.
