WOODBURN – Host Woodlan outlasted visiting Antwerp in game one and the Warriors went on to take the next two sets in a three-game sweep of the Archers Thursday night in non-league volleyball.

Woodlan won the opening set 25-23 before the Lady Warriors posted a 25-18 victory in the second set. Game three saw the Warriors wrap up the match with a 25-21 victory in game three.

The Lady Warriors were paced by Madison Smith with nine slams and Ashton Widenhoefer chipped in seven kills. Gracen Norris and Reagan Salzbrenner recorded six kills apiece for Woodlan, which improved to 13-2 overall.

Norris also recorded four aces with Maddi Snyder picking up two aces and 19 digs. Avah Smith contributed nine digs while Myah Van Camp had eight digs and 18 assists. Norris dished out 15 assists for Woodlan.

Madison Ruen dished out 13 assists while picking up nine digs for Antwerp, who fell to 6-7 on the season.

Madyson Bauer totaled ten digs with Molly Reinhart recorded 11 digs and an ace. Lydia Brewer totaled two blocks and three kills and Astianna Coppes posted nine kills and one ace. Faith Nestleroad recorded five slams as well for the Lady Archers.

Maddie Smith picked up two kills for Antwerp as well.

Woodlan won the junior varsity contest, defeating the Archers 25-7 and 25-18. Antwerp falls to 6-7 on the season.

The Lady Archer freshman squad improved to 2-4 after defeating the Warriors 25-16, 14-25 and 15-11.
