PAYNE – The Wayne Trace girls golf team sent out six seniors with a win in the final home match of their Raider careers on Thursday as the red, white and blue captured its own girls golf invitational championship at Pleasant Valley Golf Course outside of Payne.

Wayne Trace carded a 191 to nip second place Celina’s 195 for the championship with Parkway taking third at 202. Miller City (214), Lincolnview (224), Antwerp (240), Delphos Jefferson (249) and Defiance (250) rounded out the team scores.

Riley Daeger (45), Anna Miller (50) and Kristin Wannemacher (52) helped the Raiders to the title as the senior trio wrapped up the home portion of their girls golf careers in a Wayne Trace uniform. Other seniors on the squad include Ava Dougal, Kristin McDonald and Morgan Riebesehl.

Raegan McGarvey also had a 45 for the Lady Raiders and Brenna Parker carded a 51.

Miller City’s Chelsea Erford took tournament medalist honors with a 41 with Celina’s Maddie Fleck carding a 42. The Bulldogs’ Grace Romer finished third overall with a 44.

Sara Tester (50), Maddicyn Brumbaugh (59) and Jada Sharkey (65) completed the list of players for Celina.

Maddison Louth paced Parkway by shooting a 47 as the Lady Panthers took third place overall and Sarah Sheppard posted a 48. Other black and gold golfers included Emily Clutter (53), Shay Boroff (54) and Addysin Leighner (63).

The rest of the scorers for Miller City were Anna Keeler (52), Caroline Johnson (60), Stephanie Berger (61) and Kianna Gable (62).

Zoey Tracy paced Lincolnview with a 44 followed by Liz Phillips (56), Paige Dunn (62), Morgan Anspach (62) and Sydney King (65).

Antwerp’s McCartney Lucas shot a round of 53 to lead the Archers with Melanie Mills carding a 58 and Jill Magoulas totaled a 62. Kahlea Shook and Isabelle Litzenberg finished with rounds of 67 and 68, respectively.

Caitlin Jettinghoff recorded a 55 to lead Delphos Jefferson and Zada Grogg posted a 59. The remaining scorers for the Lady Wildcats were Rachel Ryan (60), Avery Eickholt (65) and Chloe Kroeger (65).

Defiance golfers were Kaylee Harsha (53), Payton Tracy (65), Hailey Becker (66), Ayvah Cullen (66) and Kirsten Johnson (69).

Ayersville also had a pair of individuals take part in Ava Stork (50) and Autumn Osborne (51).
