The Northwest District Athletic Board of the Ohio High School Athletic Association recently released the district tournament assignments for girls basketball as local squads found out their locations for the 2020-2021 seasons.

In Division II, schools battling to take part in the district tournament at Paulding include Bryan, Celina, Defiance, Elida, Lima Bath, Lima Shawnee, Maumee, Napoleon, Rossford, St. Marys, Toledo Central Catholic, Toledo Rogers, Toledo Scott, Toledo Woodward and Van Wert.

Kenton, of the Western Buckeye League, is amongst a field of 15 schools hoping to qualify for the district tournament at Ashland High School.

Division III district action will take place at Elida where teams hoping to make the district include Allen East, Coldwater, Delphos Jefferson, Fairview, Fostoria, Liberty Benton, Lima Perry, Ottawa Glandorf, Paulding, Riverdale, Spencerville, Tinora and Van Buren.

Schools squaring off to qualify for district action at Anthony Wayne High School in Division III are Archbold, Delta, Eastwood, Elmwood, Evergreen, Genoa, Lake, Liberty Center, Montpelier, Northwood, Otsego, Swanton and Wauseon.

Division IV district action will be held at Defiance, Ottawa Glandorf and Wapakoneta High Schools locally.

Teams battling to get to Defiance will be Antwerp, Ayersville, Crestview, Edgerton, Edon, Fayette, Hicksville, Hilltop, Lincolnview, North Central, Ottoville, Pettisville, Stryker and Wayne Trace.

Squads hoping to qualify for the Ottawa Glandorf district are Arlington, Bluffton, Columbus Grove, Continental, Cory Rawson, Delphos St. John’s, Fort Jennings, Holgate, Kalida, Leipsic, McComb, Miller City, Pandora Gilboa and Patrick Henry.

Lastly, girls basketball teams looking to advance to the district at Wapakoneta include Ada, Fort Recovery, Hardin Northern, Lima Central Catholic, Marion Local, Minster, New Bremen, New Knoxville, Parkway, Ridgemont, St. Henry, Upper Scioto Valley and Waynesfield Goshen.
