LIBERTY CENTER - Antwerp had no trouble improving to 7-2 on the season with a 64-35 pounding of Liberty Center on Saturday night.

Luke Brewer scored 16 points, Cole Seslar 12 and Jayvin Landers 11 in leading the Archers to the easy victory. Ty Rebber chipped in eight points for Antwerp, which led 11-5 after one quarter before doubling up the Tigers 30-15 at half. The Archers went on to outpoint LC 34-20 in the second half.

Antwerp, which had nine players score in the contest, hit 24-50 from the field for 48 percent while connecting on 9-10 at the foul line. The Archers also controlled the glass 28-17 while committing 13 turnovers, one more than Liberty Center.

Carter Burdue had 16 points to lead the Tigers, which struggled shooting the ball connecting on just 12-44 for 27 percent from the field and 8-15 at the charity stripe for 53 percent in falling to 3-4 overall.

The Antwerp junior varsity team improved to 9-0 with a 58-21 victory.
