PAULDING – Thomas A. "Tom" Rulman, age 81, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Paulding County Hospital.
Tom
was born on June 27, 1941, in Paulding, OH to the late Norman and
Florence (Dysert) Rulman. Tom worked as a packhouse loader for LaFarge
before his retirement in 2005 after 42 years. Tom worked for various
companies in the Paulding area including Kauser Trucking for 20 years,
A. Dean Snodgrass Poultry, and the Sohio Service Station. He was also a
firefighter for the Paulding Fire Department for 18 years, reaching the
rank of Lieutenant. He was a member of the National Guard of Ohio,
Buckeye Herford Association, a lifetime member of the American Herford
Association, and a lifetime member of the John Paulding Historical
Society. He was also a devoted member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish.
Tom was a farmer by heart, well known for his Herford cattle.
Tom is survived by his lifelong, loving companion, Jane Stouffer, Paulding, OH; many loving nieces and nephews.
Tom is also preceded in death by two brothers, James Rulman and Paul Rulman.
Mass
of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 28,
2023, at Divine Mercy Catholic Church - Paulding with Father John Stites
officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Jackson
Township with military rites accorded by Paulding V.F.W. Post 587.
Visitation
will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Den Herder
Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
