GROVER HILL – Shirley A. Bidlack, 91, of Grover Hill, died at 9:57 a.m. Monday, March 6 at Vancrest Nursing Home, Van Wert.

She was born July 13, 1925, in Toledo to Dennis and Viola (Roberts) Thrasher. On Oct. 2, 1943, she married R. Paul Bidlack, who survives. A graduate of Grover Hill High School, she was a homemaker who attended Mandale Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and singing.

Also surviving are her children, Connie (Tom) Baldwin of New Haven, Paulette (Richard) Stemen of Payne, Patricia Bidlack of Grover Hill and Rudy (Ellen) Bidlack of Scott; daughters-in-law, Cheryl Bidlack of Van Wert and Jenni Bidlack of Grover Hill; grandchildren, Angie Wyss, Shari Hegerfeld, Christie Wright, Broc Bidlack, Brian Bidlack, Kent Stemen, Cameron Bidlack, Lynn Bidlack, Ryan Bidlack, Dustin Bidlack and Heather Grant; 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Dennis and Jeff Bidlack; a brother, Guy Mansfield; and sisters, Orpha Collier, Eva Wilson, Nova Scarbrough and an infant sister.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11 at Mandale Church of Christ with the Rev. Don Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, March 10 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, and one hour prior to funeral services Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, due to flower allergies, the family asks that memorials be directed to Mandale Church of Christ or Grover Hill EMS.
