PAULDING – Russell Wayne Flint, 65, of Paulding, succumbed to pancreatic cancer in the comfort of his own home on Monday, June 10.

He is survived by his parents, Russell and Donna (Freshwater) Flint; wife, Carol (Harper); children, Jennifer and Bruce; brother, Robert; and grandchildren, Krystal and Auron. Russell was a loving son, father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.

Russell worked 30 years in the labor division of General Motors and enjoyed 15 years of retirement. He loved collecting antiques at garage sales and auctions and selling them on eBay. He loved cutting and crafting wooden sleds, rocking horses and other items that Carol would paint and sell at craft shows. He would take his little dog Pede for walks in the cemetery every evening. He led a simple and quiet life, and never lost his sense of humor.

A special thank you to sisters-in-law, Patti Stoller and Brenda Riggenbach, for all their hard work and care that made it possible for Rusty to spend his final days in the comfort of his home, as well as Paulding Hospice care for their home visitations.

Funeral services will be privately held for close family members, as was Russell's request. Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, is handling arrangements.

Flowers and condolences may be sent to CHP Hospice, St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church or St. John Lutheran Church.
