Patricia Joyce Marlin of Antwerp, Ohio passed away peacefully in her home Friday, January 27, 2023.
She was born November 22, 1928, in Garrett, Indiana to Clarence and Jessie (Rafferty) Byanskie.
She
was a graduate of Bryan High School and Bowling Green State University.
She married Thomas Marlin, June 20, 1953, and together they raised
eight children on the farm. Pat worked as a secretary at International
Harvester and later at Antwerp Northwest Credit Union. She enjoyed
gardening, playing piano, sewing, and vacationing at Hamilton Lake. Her
community activities included Boy & Girl Scouts, bridge, book,
craft, and flower clubs, Bargain Bin volunteer, and original member of
Friends of the Library.
As an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic
Church, Pat was involved with Christ Renews His Parish, Coordinator of
CCD, Serra Club, and as a Eucharistic Minister. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family who will cherish memories made with her.
Pat
will be missed by her children, Mary Todd, Stephen (Shelley), Anthony
(Susan), Philip (Jodi), Ann, John (Barbara), Daniel (Yvonne), Christine
(David) Blue; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and niece
Barbara Goetz (Ted) Robey.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, Thomas (2014), sister-in-law Marianne Cottrell, son-in-law
James Todd, and two grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday,
February 2, 2023, from 3-6:30 p.m. with a vigil service at 6:30 p.m., at
Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River St, Antwerp, Ohio 45813.
Her
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 3, 2023, at 10
a.m. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 203 W. Townline St., Payne, Ohio
45880. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
Memorials are for Masses at Divine Mercy, or to the Bargain Bin of Paulding County.
