LINDA WISDA 1941-2018

CECIL – Linda Elizabeth Wisda, age 77, died Sunday, Dec. 2 at the Paulding County Hospital.

She was born Dec. 2, 1941 in Bluefield, W.Va., the daughter of Mona Ruth (Sulfridge) and Samuel Townsley Jr. She retired from the Paulding County Hospital where she devoted her time as RN in the OB department. She was a member of the Cecil Community Church, Defiance Moose, Public Retirement Inc., Bunco, Auglaize Village Historical Society, and Defiance and Paulding senior centers. She loved to travel and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to make her family homemade biscuits and gravy and was famous for her freezer jam.

She is survived by her children, Pam Boatright, Paulding, Carey (Jennifer) Boatright, Glendale, Ariz., Kim Boatright, Fremont, Ind., Brian (Jamie) Wisda, Defiance, and Sarah (Sal) Sajuan, Paulding; grandchildren, William Gluss, Lauren Knieper, Dakota Knieper, Aniyah Sajuan and Jeremiah Sajuan; a great-grandchild, Emma Gluss; sister, Sue (Ted) McReynolds; sister-in-law, Mary Townsley; her fiancé, John Donnett; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Townsley Jr.; mother, Mona Ruth Townsley; husband, Dennis Boatright; daughters, Lila Ruth and Moreta Linda Boatright; son, Dennis Eugene Boatright; brother, Frank Townsley; and sisters, Helen McReynolds and Evelyn Hall.

A local memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services.

Services also will be held in Wise, Va., at the Mountain View Freewill Church at a later date.
