PAULDING, OH: JoAnn Brockhaus, age 69, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at her home in Paulding.
JoAnn was born on November 30, 1953 in Paulding, OH to the late Patrick and Katherine “June” (Thompson) Dohoney. On June 19, 2009, she married Donald A. Brockhaus, who survives in Paulding. Throughout her life, JoAnn worked in various clerical positions and loved to travel.
Along with her husband, JoAnn is survived by her daughter, Erin Schooley, Portland, OR; stepdaughter, Beth A. Brockhaus, New Haven, IN; stepson, Brian S. (Mackenzie) Brockhaus, Fort Wayne, IN; brothers: Pat (Laura) Dohoney, Zephyr Hills, FL; Jerry (Nancy) Dohoney, Babson Park, FL; Terry (Mary Sue) Dohoney, Christiansburg, VA; sister, Mary Beth Allen, Novi, MI.
JoAnn is also preceded in death by her sister, Elaine Manz.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Paulding First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with Rev. Dr. Sandra Jenkins officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Paulding Memorial Cemetery, Paulding.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Den Herder Funeral Home with a Catholic prayer service at 7:30 P.M. There will also be visitation from 12:00 P.M. until time of services on Saturday at the church.
