Everett Heck, 97, of Payne, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Heritage Pointe, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Everett was born in Payne on December 27, 1925, a son of the late Kathryne (Ditlinger) and Joseph Heck.
He
proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States
Army. He spent his life as a farmer, but more importantly as a loving
husband, father and grandfather. He had a strong faith in God and the
desire to serve his family and others.
He regularly donated blood
to the American Red Cross and was an active member of the Knights of
Columbus. His family enjoyed 54 years at their cottage on Hamilton Lake,
along with traveling to Clearwater Beach in their Motor Home.
Everett
will be sadly missed by his children, Thomas Heck, Marilyn (Joseph)
Hoffman, Daniel (Deb) Heck, Carolyn (Mark) Malfait, Joseph (Debbie)
Heck, Michael (Robin) Heck, Robert (Lisa) Heck, & Jerry (Michelle)
Heck; 21 grandchildren; & 22 great-grandchildren.
He was
preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Barbara (Bacon) and siblings,
Mary Katherine Heck, Helen Seidler, Beatrice Ankenbruck, John and
Raymond Heck
Viewing is Wednesday, March 15, 2023, 4 - 7 p.m., at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne, Ohio.
His funeral service is 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne, with viewing one hour prior.
He will be laid to rest at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Payne.
