HAVILAND – Ellen E. Klopfenstein, age 92, died Wednesday, Oct. 31 at the Country Inn Enhanced Living Center, Paulding.

She was born Oct. 3, 1926 in Fort Wayne, the daughter of Harold O. and Grace E. (Arnett) Martin, both of whom preceded her in death. On Feb. 18, 1950, she married Alvin C. Klopfenstein, who preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 2006. She was baptized on Dec. 3, 1950 and was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Wayne A. (Carol) Klopfenstein of Peoria, Ariz., Lee A. (Desma) Klopfenstein of Maumee and Roy C. (Deborah) Klopfenstein, Haviland; two daughters, Ruth (Craig) Stoller, Paulding, and Joyce Klopfenstein, Paulding; 25 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Larry; brothers, Harold O. and David F. Martin; sister, Glendora Greulach; and great-grandchildren, Carson Manz and Elaina Stoller.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at Latty Apostolic Christian Church, Latty. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, in the church fellowship hall.
