Dennis B. Stoller, 1935-2023

He was born on March 10, 1935, to the late Roy and Beulah (Christman) Stoller in Van Wert, Ohio. Dennis was a 1953 graduate of Auglaize Brown Local School. On April 11, 1954, he married Nola (Butler) Stoller who preceded him in death on July 31, 1999. On June 3, 2000, he married Joyce Etter, who survives.

Dennis was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He worked for the City of Defiance, for 30 years, as a Superintendent in the Water Department for 21 years. He worked for 14 years at Poggemeyer Engineering, retiring in 2006. In his leisure time, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking, and country music.

Dennis will be sadly missed by his wife, Joyce Stoller of Defiance, OH, and his children, Shelby (Craig) Shisler of Oakwood, Dennis Stoller and Sheila (Dennis) Martin, all of Defiance. He also leaves behind four stepchildren, Theresa (Tom) Allsup of Murphy, NC, Craig (Judy) Myers of Russellville, AR, Michelle (Dennis) Starry of Oakwood, and Anita (Doug) LaPlant of Chelsea, MI, 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and his sisters, Sharon (Darwin) Bodenbender of Salem, OR, and Brenda (Jim) Mullen of Oakwood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nola Stoller, his daughter, Rhonda Kay Florence, his sons, Randal Stoller and Darren Stoller, two grandsons, Kenny Eagleson III and Tanner Martin, two great-granddaughters, Mikyla Eagleson and Zoey Seibert, his brothers, Dallas and Jerry Stoller, his sister, June Stillwell, and stepson, Mike Myers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 2 - 8 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller and Chaplain Dale Katcher officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
