ANTWERP - David Carr, 80, of Antwerp passed away Tuesday, January 4 at his home.

Dave was born in Hicksville on March 17, 1941, a son of the late Eileen (Kemerer) & John Carr.

Dave was a proud Navy veteran for which he served from 1959-1965. After his service he drove truck for many years and also worked as a foreman at BF Goodrich. Dave was an avid NASCAR fan, especially of Sam Hornish, Jr. Dave will be remembered most as a loyal and devoted husband and father. He was a trustworthy, wise, and caring man who always held his family as his number one priority.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Joyce, to whom he was married Dec. 25, 1963; children, Beverly, Lynne, & Jennifer Carr; siblings, Charlotte (Richard) Leu & Mary Reis; sister-in-law, Becky Carr; grandchildren, Lydia, Brandon, David Emerson, Tiffany, David Richard, Evelyn, & Melissa; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; & his beloved dog, Posey.

Dave was also preceded in death by his brothers John & Richard Carr & a great-grandchild.

Services will be held privately.

He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, with military honors.
