PAULDING – Nominating Petitions for the Nov. 5 general election may be picked up now at the Paulding County Board of Elections.

The filing deadline for the Nov. 5 general election is by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7 (90 days before the general election). This filing deadline is the same filing deadline for local questions and issues and local options. Election board officials encourage you to not wait until the filing deadline to file.

The following elected offices will be on the Nov. 5 ballot:

• Mayor in the following villages: Antwerp, Broughton, Grover Hill, Haviland, Latty, Melrose, Oakwood, Paulding, Payne and Scott

• 2 Council Members in the following villages: Antwerp, Broughton, Cecil, Grover Hill, Haviland, Latty, Melrose, Oakwood, Paulding, Payne and Scott

• Clerk/Treasurer in the following villages: Cecil and Scott

• 2 Board of Public Affairs members in Latty and Payne villages

• Fiscal Officer and one Trustee in all townships, and one unexpired term for trustee in Auglaize Township

• Board of Education members: 2 members for Antwerp Local School District, Ottoville Local School District and Wayne Trace Local School District; 3 members for Paulding Exempted Village School District and Defiance City School District

• Western Buckeye Educational Service Center Governing Board: 1 member for District 1 (Antwerp), District 3 (Lincolnview) and District 5 (at large), one unexpired term for District 2 (Crestview)

• Putnam County Educational Service Center Governing Board: 2 members.

The office is located at 105 E. Perry St., Paulding. Regular office hours are Monday- Friday, 8 a.m.–noon and 1–4 p.m.

The office will be closed on the following dates, through the month of July: May 27, June 17-19, July 4.
