MEETING NOTES OF APPOINTMENTS

County Prosecutor Joe Burkard and the commissioners discussed the progression of the Vision Board and the Landbank, along with proper display of the American Flag.



Judge Tiffany Beckman met with the commissioners to discuss funding for Indigent Council fees. (See resolution below.)



JFS director Corey Walker informed the commissioners of needed repairs at the Jacob Eaton Children’s Home.



IN THE MATTER OF SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION (FUND 078)

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby direct the County Auditor to make a Supplemental Appropriation in the Infrastructure Projects Fund (Fund 078); to-wit:

IN THE MATTER OF AMENDING THE 2019 ANNUAL APPROPRIATION (FUND 001-008)

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby direct the County Auditor to amend the 2019 Annual Appropriation by appropriating the following in the Common Pleas Fund (Fund 001-008), to-wit;

001-008-00006/Common Pleas/Attorney Fees AMOUNT: $40,000.



IN THE MATTER OF ENTERING INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT – EATON FARM

WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of July, 2019, bids were received and opened for the real estate on a cash rent per acre basis for the Eaton Farm; and

WHEREAS, after review of the aforementioned bids, the Board of County Commissioners accepted and awarded the submitted bid by Mark Miller, in the amount of Two Hundred Six Dollars (206) per acre for Two Hundred Fifty and Seven Tenths (250.7) acres, totaling Fifty-One Thousand, Six Hundred Forty-Four Dollars and Twenty Cents ($51,644.20) per year, now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, on the 24th day of July, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners entered into contract with Mark Miller by signing the Lease Agreement for the Eaton Farm beginning on Sept. 1, 2019 subject to completion of harvesting of the 2019 growing crops by current tenant and ending on Sept. 1, 2022 subject to the harvesting of the 2022 growing crops.



IN THE MATTER OF ENTERING INTO SUBSIDY GRANT AGREEMENT WITH OHIO DEPARTMENT OF REHABILITATION AND CORRECTION

WHEREAS, Paulding County has submitted a grant application to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, and

WHEREAS, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is authorized, pursuant to ORC 5149.31, 5149.32 and 5149.36 to determine and award grant funds to assist local governments in community-based corrections program services and that are designed to reduce or divert the number of persons committed to state penal institutions and/or detained in and/or committed to local corrections agencies, and

WHEREAS, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections awards Paulding County the sum of up to $108,704 to be paid in eight equal installments of $13,588 for the initial term set forth in the agreement, now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, on the 24th day of July, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners entered into a Subsidy Grant Agreement with Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction by signing the Subsidy Grant Agreement for 408 Community-Based Non-Residential Corrections Programs.
