This 4th day of December, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members present: Roy Klopfenstein, Tony Zartman, Mark Holtsberry, and Nola Ginter, Clerk.



MEETING NOTES OF APPOINTMENTS

Sheriff Jason Landers resented the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council Inc. (See resolution below.)



Bryon Palitto, Business Communication Specialists (BCS) - Phillip Jackson, Randy Ruge, Rob Goshia, Jason Landers, Jennifer Wiswell, Jeff Smith, and Cindy Peters gathered with the three commissioners to listen as Palitto presented information on a voice over IP phone system. He offered background on BCS, noting the company started in 1996 in Wadsworth, Ohio. The purpose of starting the company was to assist small businesses with IT and phone issues. Palitto reported they have grown from their original three customers to over 700, while employing 40 people. He also commented customer retention is high. Palitto fielded several questions from those in attendance. He explained how the ShoreTel system works and briefly reviewed prices for the system, phones, licensing, and software assurance. A demonstration of how the phones function closed the meeting.



IN THE MATTER OF AMENDING THE 2017 ANNUAL APPROPRIATION (FUND 001-031)

Zartman moved to adopt the following resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby direct the County Auditor to amend the 2017 Annual Appropriation by appropriating the following, to-wit;

001-031-99998/General Fund/Commissioners’ Misc/Transfers AMOUNT: $50,000.



IN THE MATTER OF AMENDING THE 2017 ANNUAL APPROPRIATION (FUND 229)

Zartman moved to adopt the following resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby direct the County Auditor to amend the 2017 Annual Appropriation by appropriating the following in the VISION Group Fund (Fund 229), to-wit;

229-001-00002/VISION Group/Contract Services AMOUNT: $25,000.



IN THE MATTER OF MODIFYING THE 2017 ANNUAL APPROPRIATION (FUND 001-014)

Holtsberry moved to adopt the following resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby modify the 2017 Annual Appropriation and hereby directs the Paulding County Auditor to transfer funds; to-wit;

FROM: 001-014-00011/General Fund/County Court/Workers’ Compensation

TO: 001-014-00002/General Fund/County Court/Salaries AMOUNT: $1,914.40.



IN THE MATTER OF RECEIVING THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PAULDING COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE, OHIO LABOR COUNCIL INC.

Zartman moved to adopt the following resolution:

WHEREAS, Paulding County Sheriff Jason Landers presented an executed copy of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council Inc.; and

WHEREAS, the Agreement covers January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2020; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby acknowledge receiving of said Collective Bargaining Agreement as presented. A copy of said Agreement is on file at the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.
