This 29th day of April, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members present: Roy Klopfenstein, Tony Zartman, Mark Holtsberry and Cindy Peters, Clerk.

MEETING NOTES OF APPOINTMENTS

Amy Schlegel briefly met with the commissioners to discuss a drop box for the Auglaize River Sewer District invoices.

Dog Warden Skyler Maassel presented a fee report to the commissioners for pick up, drop off, adoptions, adoption rescue, tags, three-year tags and permanent tags. Maassel has been contacting dog owners that have not purchased their dogs tags. He also reported a typical day in the life of the dog warden and what duties he is performing throughout the day.

Sheriff Jason Landers discussed maintenance needs at the jail. He noted that the jail staff has a plan to move people during the construction. They also purchased two picnic tables to put in the recreation yard that will be paid out the commissary fund. Sheriff Landers pointed out that the special event rate for deputies doesn’t cover expenses. He made a recommendation to increase the rate for special events. (See resolution below.) Sheriff also discussed dog warden responsibilities and a new K9.
