PAULDING – The Paulding Exempted Village School board held its June meeting on June 25.

A public meeting will be held on Aug. 20 from 3:30-4 p.m. for input regarding the IDEA Part B Funds. All are welcome to attend.

Mike Foltz will be shifting from second shift middle school custodian to second shift high school custodian. Shawn Hurd will be moving from fourth grade at Paulding Elementary to eighth grade science in the middle school.

Lunch costs, nutritional guidelines and student fees were all approved for the 2019-2020 school year.

The board approved the motion to send four FFA students to the Big Eastern States Fair in West Springfield, Mass. The group will travel by air on Sept. 18-22.

The board also approved to send 10-14 FFA students to National FFA Convention held in Indianapolis from Oct. 29-Nov. 2.

FFA students will also be going to the Ohio State FFA Convention from April 29-May 1.

All FFA trips are funded by FFA alumni, students and fundraisers.

Students with the OMUN will be traveling to Columbus Dec. 8-10 for the OMUN competition.

The following personnel matters were also handled at the meeting.

Approval of one year limited contract for John Kennedy, industrial technology teacher; Abigail Nussbaum, seventh grade ELA teacher; Taryn Rupp, band director; Danielle Bird, PE intervention specialist; Alaina Backus, PE intervention specialist and Jonathan Rhodes, assistant IT.

The board also accepted the resignations of the following employees: Paige Ordway, PE intervention specialist; Eric Deisler, eighth grade science teacher; McKayla Jackson, eighth grade math; Samantha Schulte, eighth grade math and Brock Bergman, athletic director.

One year limited extracurricular contracts were offered to: Taryn Rupp, marching band and pep band; Travis McGarvey, varsity boys basketball assistant; Logan Stoller, JV boys basketball; Bob Ward, freshman basketball; Zach Ricker, eighth grade boys basketball; Corbin Edwards, seventh grade boys basketball; Brian Porter, varsity wrestling assistant; Chad Zolman, jr. high wrestling; Jennifer Dietz, varsity cheer advisor-football and basketball; Kynsie Etzler, varsity cheer assistant- football and basketball; Ben Barton, JV girls basketball; Jodi Griffith, JV girls basketball; Joel Parrett, varsity girls basketball assistant; Brian Daeger, varsity girls basketball assistant; Dalton Bradford, varsity girls track; Joe Woods, jr. high football assistant and Kim Bickford, varsity football assistant.

Brian Miller was approved as the boys varsity basketball coach and Brian Jacobs was approved as the varsity wrestling coach. Dalton Bradford was approved as the boys varsity track coach and Ben Barton as varsity baseball coach.
