HARVEST NEARLY COMPLETE – The fields in and around Paulding County have been busy the past few weeks as farmers have been bringing in this year’s wheat crop. Wheat harvest is 95 percent complete in the county, according to Sarah Noggle, Agriculture & Natural Resources Extension educator, Paulding County. Yields have been anywhere from 15 to 125 bushels per acre. Noggle said there is a variety of Head Scab in pockets of the county. Overall the quality, of wheat is good to excellent. Moisture is anywhere from 12-16 percent and test weight on average is around 55-62.
