PAULDING – A new event is happening in Paulding this June. On June 2 from 10 a.m. to noon, at LaFountain Park, The Animal Clinic of Paulding is holding a Bark for Life.

This event is being held to honor the contributions of canine caregivers to the fight against cancer. Canine caregivers include canine companions, guide dogs, service dogs, rescue dogs, therapy dogs, police dogs, cancer survivor dogs and diagnostic dogs. Along with their caregivers, they are joining the American Cancer Society as Relay Teams.

To honor these furry friends, The Animal Clinic of Paulding is organizing a Bark for Life walk for dogs. Owners and dogs are encouraged to join others at the park for this celebration. The registration fee is $10 per dog and all dogs must be on leashes.

A lap area will be set-up so owners and dogs can walk in honor of cancer survivors and in memory of those they have lost.

Vendors will also be set up during this event. Homemade dog treats will be available for purchase in addition to handmade dog scarves. More vendors will also be added.

A photo booth will be set up for pictures with your furry companion.

All proceeds from this event will go to the Relay for Life team at The Animal Clinic of Paulding.

If you wish to register for this event, you can stop by the clinic. Free dog bandanas are available for the first number of registrants. A limited number of Bark for Life T-shirts will also be available at the clinic for $10.

The clinic will also be doing a raffle for an Amazon Echo. Tickets are $1 each or 6/$5. A basket with items will also be available for a silent auction.

This is a family event and participants can come and go throughout the two hour event.

If you would like more information, or would like to register as a vendor, please contact Cheryl Eddy at 419-670-4066 or The Animal Clinic of Paulding at 419-399-2871.
