Friday, July 3

7:47 a.m. An unwanted person was reported on West Jackson Street. The responding officer successfully removed the person from the property and told them if they returned they would be charged with trespassing.

7:58 a.m. A hit/skip of the scene of an accident was reported on North Williams Street. During the investigation at the scene a deputy stopped the car and reported that the driver was under the influence of acid and was taken to Paulding County Hospital via EMS. Saturday, July 4

8:34 a.m. An accident was reported on North Williams Street. A semi-truck struck a telephone pole and was caught on a phone line. The driver attempted to maneuver in reverse away from the loading dock when it struck the telephone pole. All the necessary authorities were notified and the area was marked with caution tape once the semi-truck was free from telephone line.

Sunday, July 5

2:11 a.m. A traffic offense was reported on Williams Street near Partridge Place. The driver was cited for driving under suspension and failure to obey traffic signs.

8:27 p.m. On West Jackson Street it was reported that there was suspicious activity and it appeared that items were being stolen from the property. The case is still under investigation.

Monday, July 6

11:20 a.m. On North Williams Street an employee from a local business reported that their employer was withholding wages. It was also reported that the employer was their landlord as well. It was reported that when they fell behind on rent the landlord grabbed their shoulders and stated that there are other ways to pay rent and offered $500 for the other actions to pay the rent.

2:00 p.m. A harassment complaint was reported on West Perry Street. The resident stated that an ex-boyfriend was sending harassing messages. The responding officer requested screen shots of the messages. The case is under investigation.

Tuesday, July 7

2:00 p.m. A vandalism complaint was reported on North Lincoln Street. It was reported that someone burned racist slurs and derogatory words on the playground equipment.

Wednesday, July 8

8:08 a.m. On North Cherry Street a vehicle was repossessed from the property.

9:20 a.m. A vandalism complaint was reported at Reservoir Park. It was reported that there were derogatory words and racial slur spray painted on the dugout and concession stands.
