Criminal Docket

Samanth C. Fenter, 32, Haviland, was in court on the State’s motion to dismiss. The motion was granted. The case was dismissed without prejudice. Fenter was previously arraigned on the charges on one count of cocaine (F5) and one count of possession of methamphetamine (F5).

Deandre Warr, 30, Saint Clairsville, was in court on the motion to dismiss. The motion was denied. Warr previously pleaded guilty to one count of attempted possession of drugs (F4).

Cambrea M. Zimmerman, 24, was in court on the motion for treatment in lieu of conviction. The assessment performed by Valle Vista Health System indicated that Zimmerman meets the initial criteria for the program. The State made a motion to dismiss one count of possession of fentanyl (F3); the motion was granted. The State made a motion to amend count two one count of possession of methamphetamine (F3) to attempted possession of methamphetamine (F4). The motion was granted. Zimmerman pleaded guilty to one count of attempted possession of methamphetamine (F4). A dispositional hearing is set for November 22.

The State made a motion to amend count two of the indictment from the charge of failure to comply with order or signal of police officer (F3) to one count of attempted failure to comply with order or signal of police officer (F4). The motion was granted. Barton changed his previous not guilty plea to guilty of one count of receiving stolen property (F4). Barton also changed his previous not guilty plea to guilty to one count of attempted failure to comply with order or signal of police officer (F4). The sentencing hearing is set for November 8.

Milo B. Holt, Jr., 23, Ohio City, was in court for a change of plea. Holt changed his previously entered not guilty plea to guilty of one count of possession of methamphetamine (F5). The sentencing hearing is set for December 20.

Jonathan J. McKeever, 33, Hicksville, was in court for a dispositional hearing on the motion for intervention in lieu of conviction. McKeever was ordered to be placed under the general control and supervision of the Adult Parole Authority for two years, as if subject to community control sanctions under the following conditions: follow the intervention plan as recommended by Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio and any and all recommendations made by any and all drug/alcohol/mental health counselors or Adult Parole Authority officers; for a two-year period: abstain from the use of illegal drugs or any drug not specifically prescribed; not possess or consume alcohol and/or enter any establishment that serves alcohol by the single serving; submit to regular random testing for drug/alcohol by Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio or supervising officer with no refusals; participate in and successfully complete all treatment, recovery and aftercare services as recommended by Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio or supervising officer and obtain and maintain a valid operator’s license during the term of community control. McKeever previously pleaded guilty to one count of possession of methamphetamine (F5).

John M. Chaffins, Paulding, was in court for a change of plea. The State made a motion to dismiss count three of the indictment one count of corrupting another with drugs (F2). The motion was granted. The State made a motion to dismiss count four of the indictment one count of trafficking in methamphetamine (F4). The motion was granted. Chaffins changed the formerly entered not guilty plea to guilty of one count of illegal conveyance of weapons, drugs or other prohibited items onto ground of detention facility or institution (F3). Chaffins also changed his formerly entered not guilty plea to guilty of one count of aggravated possession of methamphetamine (F2). Chaffins was sentenced to 30 months at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction with credit for 87 jail days served.

The State made a motion to amend count one from one count of aggravated possession of methamphetamine (F2) to attempted aggravated possession of methamphetamine (F3). The motion was granted. Thompson changed his formerly entered plea of not guilty to guilty to one count of attempted aggravated possession of methamphetamine (F3). The sentencing hearing is set for November 19.

Brendon L. Fry, 22, Paulding, was in court for arraignment. Fry entered a plea of not guilty to one count of domestic violence (F3). The jury trial is set for December 14.
