Richard Emerling Jr., 47, Grover Hill, was in court on a motion to revoke community control sanctions. Another hearing was set for May 13 and he was released on a recognizance bond. Emerling is being charged with non support of dependents (F5).

Tyler E. Beavers, 25, Lafayette, Ind., pleaded guilty to having weapons while under disability (F3). Sentencing was set for May 13.

Coral Fetzer, 38, Van Wert, pleaded guilty to attempted theft in office (F4). Her plea for intervention in lieu of conviction was accepted and she was sentenced to two years of community control sanctions with the following guidelines: abstain from the use of drugs and alcohol; submit to random substance testing; successfully complete treatment and recovery support services through Westwood Behavioral Health Center; successfully complete the Telehealth Problem Gambling program via Zepf Center; attend one Gambler’s Anonymous meeting weekly; complete 20 hours of community service and pay restitution to the Paulding Soil and Water Conservation District.

Marcella C. Wright, 30, Hicksville, had her initial criteria for intervention in lieu of conviction accepted. She then pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine (F5). Wright has another hearing set for May 29.

Shantel M. Collins, 30, Defiance, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine (F5). Sentencing was set for June 3.

Andrew Schweitzer, 30, Defiance, had his two cases for possession of methamphetamine (F5) dismissed by the State.

Tina R. Schmidt, 47, Cecil, previously pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine (F5) and was in court for sentencing. She was sentenced to four years of community controls sanctions with the following guidelines: abstain from the consumption of drugs and alcohol; serve 50 days in jail with credit for 50 served; submit to random substance testing; complete a drug/alcohol/mental health assessment through Maumee Valley Guidance Center and follow all recommendations and pay court costs.

Johnathon R. Foster, 24, Defiance, previously pleaded no contest to aggravated assault (F4) and was in court for sentencing. Foster was sentenced to four years of community control sanctions with the following conditions: serve 70 days in jail with credit for 70 served; abstain from the consumption of drugs and alcohol; submit to random substance testing; obtain and maintain employment; obtain a GED; obtain a valid operator’s license and pay court costs.

Joseph L. Guyton, 38, Melrose, previously pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine (F5) and was in court for sentencing. He was sentenced to four years of community control sanctions with the following conditions: serve 48 days in jail with credit for 48 days served; abstain from the consumption of drugs and alcohol; submit to random substance testing; complete a Drug Court assessment by Westwood Behavioral Health and follow recommendations and enter into and complete Paulding County Drug Court.

Tracy A. Wagner, 53, Defiance, pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of weapons, drugs or other prohibited items onto ground of detention facility or institution (F3). He was sentenced to serve 24 months in prison.

Andrew Schweitzer, 30, Defiance, previously pleaded guilty to failure to appear (F4) and was in court for sentencing. He was sentenced to four years of community control sanctions with the following conditions: serve 62 days with credit for 62 days served; abstain from drug and alcohol consumption; submit to random substance testing; complete assessment through Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio and follow recommendations and obtain and maintain employment.

Lester E. Sulfridge Jr, 60, Paulding County Jail, previously pleaded guilty to OVI (F3) and was in court for sentencing. He was sentenced to 36 months in prison.

Paul N. Miller, 35, Paulding, pleaded guilty to gross sexual imposition (F4). Sentencing was set for May 13.

Gianna I. Gessman, 20, Adrian, Mich., was in court for arraignment on a charge of possession of methamphetamine (F5). A pre-trial was set for May 20 and a jury trial for July 2.

Thomas J. Carr, 64, Antwerp, was arraigned in court on a charge of OVI (F4). A pre-trial was set for June 3 and a jury trial for July 16. Carr was released on a recognizance bond.

Tyler Levos, 33, Paulding, was arraigned in court on a charge of OVI (F3). A pre-trial was set for June 3 and a jury trial for July 16. Levos was released on a recognizance bond.

Peter A. Blanchard, 52, Paulding, was arraigned in court on five counts of gross sexual imposition, all third degree felonies. A pre-trial was set for May 13 and a Jury trial for June 18. He is being held on bond.

Isaac L. Swary, 22, Antwerp, was arraigned in court on a charge of possession of methamphetamine (F5). A pre-trial was set for May 13 and a jury trial for July 16. Swary was released on a recognizance bond.

Zachary S. Burns, 28, Paulding County Jail, was arraigned in court on a charge of harassment with bodily substance (F2). A pre-trial was set for June 3. Burns is already being held on bond for another case.
