PAULDING – The board of the Western Buckeye Education Center met on June 30 for a regular session.

The first business on the agenda was the approval of the May 19 minutes. They were approved by a unanimous vote.

During the meeting the following resignations were approved by a unanimous vote of the council: Kasey Osborn, Aide/LPN; Donna Myers, paraprofessional; Lyndsey Motycka, teacher; Chris Amstutz, secretary and Ronda Niemeyer, teacher.

Next on the agenda, the treasurer’s report, bills and expenditures were accepted.

The board approved the employment of several applicants as well as the substitute teacher list for the 2021-2022 school year, as well as SOAR Program supplemental contracts.

The Parc Lane building lease agreement with Paulding Exempted Village Schools and the Paulding County Opportunity Center Operational Agreement with Paulding Exempted Village schools were approved as well.

The Interagency Agreement with Van Wert County Schools, Van Wert County Board of Developmental Disabilities and CORS/Head Start for the 2021-2022 school year was approved as well.

The follwoing items on the agenda were approved: fiscal year 2021 final revenue and appropriations by fund; the fiscal year 2022 temporary appropriations by fund; the SORSA liability policy for the 2022 fiscal year through Foltz insurance; the engagement letter for preparing annual financial statements for fiscal year 2021 with the Local Government Services Section of the Auditor of State - anticipated costs not to exceed $3,850 and dock days for Amy Noggle.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 11 at the Paulding Education Center.
