PAYNE – Payne Camp Meeting will be held Saturday, July 20 through Friday, July 26 on the historic grounds at 3450 State Route 500 just west of Payne.

Camp Meeting was first held at this location in 1895 and continues to be a time of refreshing and encouragement for those who attend nearly 125 years later.

Payne Camp Meeting is affiliated with the non-demoninational Church of God in Anderson, Ind.

Everyone is welcome without regard to membership in a particular church. Camp activities are focused on sharing God’s love with others.

A potluck will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 20 followed by a time of fellowship around the campfire.

Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. will be the first worship service with Pastor Scotty Brooks bringing the message.

Worship services will be held each evening, Sunday through Friday at 7 p.m. with Pastor Mike Harmon bringing the message.

Pastor Harmon grew up in northwest Ohio and currently pastors the Wauseon Church of God.

Pastor Arlyn Willett will lead the music. Pastor Willett is senior pastor at Calvert Park Church of God in Burton, Mich. and is a member of the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame.

After the evening services, everyone is welcome to stay for the campfire and other activities.

Teens can participate in youth camp from Sunday afternoon through Saturday morning.

Kids Camp will be held from 9:30-11:45 a.m. Monday through Friday, July 22-26.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to register their children, drop them off and then return at 11:45, or adults are also welcome to stay for coffee talk, where they can grab a cup of coffee and relax.

Young adults (high school graduates through “30-somethings”) are invited to come together at 1 p.m. Monday through Friday to share about topics of interest.? Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in the dining hall and food will also be available in the snack shack on a donation basis.
