PAULDING – The Paulding Kiwanis Club is dedicated to serving the children of the county by supporting them financially through donations to children’s clubs and organizations, volunteering with kids in the community and offering opportunities for growth and a brighter future.

The Paulding Kiwanis Club is excited to launch Stars of Tomorrow, a talent competition for different age groups with the chance to win monetary prizes and scholarships as much as $1,500.

Stars of Tomorrow will be held on Sunday, May 19 at the Paulding High School Auditorium. There will be four divisions with a total purse of $4,575.

Division I is kindergarten through second grade with monetary prizes of $25, $50 and $100 for third, second and first place accordingly.

Division II is third through fifth grades with the same award amounts as Division l.

Division III is grades six through eight with $50, $75 and $100 monetary prizes.

Division IV is grades nine through 12 with $500, $1,000 and $1,500 monetary prizes.

This is a fun and entertaining way to provide opportunities for amateur talent and allows children to showcase their talents before the public, thereby aiding in the development of their artistic abilities.

Any performing art, including music, dance, theater, comedy and magic, are encouraged but the more creative, the better.

Entries can be no longer than five minutes and are limited to five persons including any adult accompaniment. There is a limit of one entry per person.

Acts will be judged in four areas: showmanship, stage appearance, presentation and talent. Judges will consist of local persons with some background in the performing arts and public presentation.

Registration forms can be found at all local libraries in the county and can also be found on the Paulding Chamber of Commerce website at www.pauldingchamber.com under the Community Resources tab.

There is a $10 registration fee for single participants in Divisions I-III, and $20 for group entries in those divisions.

The registration fee is $25 for single participants in Division IV and a $50 fee for group entries.

The deadline to submit your registration form and fee is May 11 and can be mailed to Paulding Kiwanis Club at P.O. Box 94, Paulding, OH 45879.
