The Kiwanis playground at the Lela McGuire Jeffery Park is open. A Ribbon Cutting was held on May 13th at 10:30am, to officially open the playground.
Kiwanis Club of Paulding County is the main financial sponsor of the playground and the driving force to make it happen, but there were many financial donations from the following sponsors. Supporting sponsors were Paulding County Area Foundation, Cooper’s Farms, Paulding Eagles, Paulding VFW and Operation Round Up (Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative). The Large Brick Sponsors were Johnson, Gray, Hospital, BRSW, Josiah Stoller, NOCAC, Burtch, Reinhart, Midwest, Stahl, Carter, Haviland Drainage and Sinn. The Small Brick Sponsors were First Financial, McClure, Koenig, Boss, Hunt, Searing, Stoller, Rassman, Recker, State Bank, Hands of Hope, Farr, Burtch, Edwards, Lyons, UWPC, Reinhard, Wiebe, and White.
The Paulding County Kiwanas would also like to thank Jason Vance, Village Administrator, and his team for the groundwork to make the playground possible. Also, the Paulding Soccer Club donated picnic tables, so parents have a place to sit and relax while their children play. They would like to especially thank Lora Lyons, Chairwoman of the Kiwanis Playground Committee, for without Lora’s dedication the park would just be a great idea!
The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County invites everyone to visit the Lela McGuire Park and enjoy the Kiwanis playground.
