BRITTANY GRINDSTAFF and RYAN MAWER

PAULDING – Brittany Grindstaff and Ryan Mawer of Delphos have announced their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Alan Grindstaff and Deanna Grindstaff. She is a 2007 graduate of Paulding High School and received her associate of science in nursing in 2009 from Mercy College of Northwest Ohio. She is currently enrolled at Ohio University in the R.N. to B.S.N. program and is employed as a R.N. at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Her fiancé is the son of Brett and Michelle Mawer and the late Wendy Carlisle. He is a 2006 graduate of Paulding High School and is employed at PMI.

The couple will exchange wedding vows at 2 p.m. Aug. 18, 2012 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Paulding.

 
MR. and MRS. JOHN ALLENSWORTH

ANTWERP – John and Diane (DeMuth) Allensworth are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Ireland and a riverboat cruise from Amsterdam to Switzerland.

John Allensworth and Diane DeMuth exchanged wedding vows on Aug. 25, 1962 in Cecil.

The couple have two daughters and three grandchildren.

Their daughters, Elizabeth (Brian) Winters and Elaine (Steve) Myers, invite you to share the couple’s special day by hosting a surprise card shower.

Cards for John and Diane may be sent to 16047 SR 49, Antwerp OH 45813, by Aug. 17. The cards will be forwarded to them following their return from Europe.

 
CATHERINE CHRISTO and MICHAEL SZABO

PAULDING – Catherine Lynn Christo and Michael Bryan Szabo of Defiance, are announcing their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Jerry and Elizabeth Christo of Paulding. She is a 2002 graduate of Paulding High School and is employed by the Spangler Candy Company in Bryan.

Her fiancé is the son of Mike and Jody Szabo of Defiance and Diane Rumer of Ashtabula. He is a 2002 graduate of Ayersville High School and is employed at Tru-Fast in Bryan.

The couple will exchange wedding vows at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 11, 2012 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Defiance.

 
MR. and MRS. TED WUNDERLE

PAULDING — Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wunderle will be celebrating both their 35th wedding anniversary and retirement on July 28.

Ted Wunderle and Cathy Markin were married on July 30, 1977, at Christ’s Episcopal Church in Huron County, by the Rev. Gene Smercina.

They are the parents of four children, Scott (deceased), Marcus (Kinga) of Ojai, Calif., Thomas (Nichole) of Sagamore Hills, Ohio and Suzi (Sam) North of Royalton, Ohio.

The couple also have five grandchildren.

They will celebrate both occasions from 1:30-5 p.m. Saturday, July 28, with an open house at the Youth Leadership Building at the Paulding County Fairground.

Everyone is welcome to attend. No gifts are requested, but bring a story to tell.

PAULDING – Amanda Werling and Jason Bauer have announced their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Lisa Werling of Convoy.

Her fiancé is the son of Kevin and Pam Bauer of Paulding.

The couple will exchange vows on July 21, 2012 at the St. Jacob’s Church in Payne.
