ANTWERP – Mr. and Mrs. John “Bill” Rose of 502 Park Ave., Antwerp, will be celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary on Sept. 23.

John Rose and Beverly Eibling were united in marriage on Sept. 23, 1967, at the Payne Church of Christ by evangelist Mark Biery.

They are the parents of three daughters, Tianne (Tad) Pendergrast of Antwerp, Michelle (Mike) Smith of Fort Wayne and Laurie Rose, who is deceased.

The couple also has five grandchildren, Brandon and Jonathon Pendergrast and Dustin, Christopher and Marissa Smith.

PAULDING – Mr. and Mrs. Michael Arend will be celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary on Sept. 30.

Michael Arend and Pamela White were united in marriage on Sept. 30, 1967 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fort Wayne, by Father Mathieu.

Michael has been a CPA at Arend, Laukhuf & Stoller for 33 years.

Pam taught preschool and also worked at Magnavox. She is currently employed part-time at Arend, Laukhuf & Stoller.

The couple are the parents of three sons, Scotty of Paulding, Brian (Teresa) of Perrysburg and Patrick (Danielle) Arend of Huntington, Ind.

They also have four grandchildren, Lucas, Alexandra, Ethan and Nathan.

A family dinner is planned and a trip next year to Providence, R.I.

LATTY — Brooke Donley and Phil Recker, both of Latty, are announcing their engagement and approaching wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Connie and Mark Heffelfinger of Butler, Ind. and Bret Kelham, also of Butler. She is a 2004 graduate of Eastside High School in Butler. She is employed as a support services technician with New Vision Labratories of St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima.

Her fiancé is the son of Don Recker and the late Janice Recker of Ottawa. He is a 2002 graduate of Miller City High School and a 2006 graduate of the Ohio State University where he earned a bachelor of science. He is a 2011 graduate of the College for Financial Planning holding the accredited asset management specialist designation. He is employed as a financial advisor for Edward Jones in Paulding.

The couple will exchange wedding vows at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 6, 2012 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kalida.

CECIL – Mike and Denise (Brown) Gebers of rural Cecil will be observing their 30th wedding anniversary next week.

The couple was married Sept. 3, 1982 in the Defiance Church of the Brethren. Officiating the ceremony were Rev. Ivan and Rev. Dortha Fry and Rev. Greg King.

They are the parents of two daughters, Amber, at home, and Nicole, of Perrysburg.

Plans for a celebratory trip are in the works.

OAKWOOD – Mr. and Mrs. Justus Holtsberry will be celebrating 50 years of marriage on Aug. 25.

Justus Holtsberry and Elvene Matthews exchanged wedding vows on Aug. 25, 1962, in Grover Hill.

They are the parents of a daughter, Gina Huff of Oakwood.

The couple also have two grandchildren, Heather and Nathan Huff.
