Should the county emergency management agency office duties be a separate office?
Raider wrestlers capture county crown

ANTWERP – The three county wrestling teams squared off last Thursday at Antwerp in front of a large crowd. Wayne Trace went home with county titles for both the varsity and junior high squads.

In the first dual of the evening, Antwerp faced off against Wayne Trace. Bryce Hall and Jarret Bute would be the only Archers able to notch a win against their south county rivals. Paulding then faced Antwerp and again, Antwerp battled hard, but fell short.

As the anticipation built in the gymnasium, the stage was set for the Panthers and Raiders to wrestle for the bragging rights of county champs. The last dual would pit the NWC champions and Region 17-A fourth seeded Paulding Panthers against GMC runner-up and Region 17-A second seeded Wayne Trace Raiders.

As the squads warmed up, you could feel the tension in the gymnasium with both coaches and squads setting up game plans to become the first county champion. The dual started at heavyweight and Paulding's Sonny Manz pinned WT's Charles Chastain to start the scoring of at 6-0, PHS.
