Wayne Trace wrestlers compete in 7th annual Graham All-Star Preview

 

Seven Wayne Trace varsity wrestlers where selected and competed in the all-star preview at Graham High School on Nov. 24. Some of the most talented wrestlers from all over Ohio, representing all three divisions, competed.

George Clemens pinned junior high state qualifier Jaylin Cameran of Urbana. Dustin Taylor defeated district qualifier Kyle Bussard of Valley View, 8-2.

Aaron Miller was winning, and with 30 seconds left in the match, lost to Byrdon Bussard of Valley View.

Zaine Cotterman was defeated by Tony Kitchen of Urbana via pin. Tim West was defeated by Demarco Smith of Princeton, via pin.

Sawyer Temple was defeated by three-time Ohio state champion Bo Jordon of Graham, by a score of 18-2.

Justin Pierce was defeated by district qualifier Zack Weekley of Northwestern.

“It was an awesome event,” said coach George Clemens, “and it wasn’t a matter of winning or losing – it was just awesome for the kids to be a part of it.”

The Raiders will kick off their season Dec. 4 at Edgerton.
