Lady Raiders drop games at Tip Off

VAN WERT – Wayne Trace’s girls basketball team opened the girls high school basketball season over the weekend and the Lady Raiders dropped a pair of games to Crestview and Van Wert.

On Saturday, Wayne Trace led at the end of the first and third quarters but Van Wert rallied late for a 56-48 victory over the Lady Raiders.

The red, white and blue posted a 16-15 advantage after one quarter before the Cougars took a 24-23 halftime advantage.
