ANTWERP – The Antwerp Lady Archers outscored the Delphos Jefferson Lady Wildcats in every quarter but the second when Jefferson caught fire with 24 points while holding Antwerp to just 10 on its way to a 51-47 win.

It was the home opener for the Archers, who fell to 0-1 on the year.

Early in the third quarter, Jefferson pulled away from the Archers, building a 13-point advantage, but Antwerp continued to battle and chip away at the lead. Senior Alexis Jones drilled a 3-pointer with 3:23 remaining in the third followed by a Avrial Sawyer bomb from behind the arc to pull the Archers to within seven at 44-37.
