Paul and Shirley Bidlack were married on Oct. 2, 1943. Their parents were Ray and Edna Bidlack and Dennis and Viola Thrasher all of Grover Hill.

Their marriage resulted in six children: Connie (Tom) Baldwin of New Haven, Dennis (Cheryl) Bidlack of Grover Hill, Paulette (Richard) Stemen of Payne, Patricia Bidlack of Grover Hill, Rudy (Ellen) Bidlack of Scott, and Jeff (Jeni) Bidlack of Grover Hill.

At the present time, they have 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

They have spent all of their married life in the Grover Hill area. Paul supported his family by farming and working at B.F. Goodrich of Woodburn. He taught a Sunday school class almost his entire adult life. He raised his family in the church and was a great example to his children of a Christian man. Several times he donated a pig to be raffled off at Grover Hill’s summer celebration. Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed lots of needlework and sewing for her family. She has made several quilts for loved ones and her afghans are being enjoyed by many in the community. She also has donated many of her needlework projects to help raise money for the church or for the community. She worked at the Overall Factory in Van Wert and the Dairy Whip in Grover Hill.

They are enjoying their retirement and love having family and friends come to visit. They love to play Euchre with friends and family when they can.

They give thanks to God for his leading them in their marriage and give him thanks for their health, family and friends.
